Vipin Kannekanti is a writer-director focused on character-driven cinema rooted in emotionally intelligent storytelling for Telugu audiences and the global diaspora.

He began as a self-taught photographer before transitioning into filmmaking, drawn to the expressive power of the image. At London Film School, he immersed himself in global storytelling traditions and developed a disciplined approach to visual and performance-driven filmmaking. His work has contributed to short films that screened at Oscar-qualifying film festivals.

Vipin further honed his storytelling skills through feature screenwriting studies at Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education.

Vipin is captivated by stories where capable individuals get in their own way. He is currently working on a director-led romantic feature set between Hyderabad and New York.
